About The Doctor

Dr. Mary E. Davidian is the founder and Medical Director of Highland Ophthalmology Associates, LLC and has been serving the greater New Windsor community since 1997. Prior to that Dr. Davidian was a cornea consultant and staff at the world renowned Mackool Eye Institute in New York where she worked closely with Dr. Richard Mackool, one of the inventors of modern day ultrasound cataract surgical technology. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and attended the University of California at Irvine to become a Fellowship Trained Cornea and Anterior Segment Specialist.

Her primary areas of expertise include corneal transplants, endothelial keratoplasty, corneal dystrophies and degenerations, ectasias (keratoconus), infectious diseases such as herpetic and bacterial keratitis, anterior segment trauma and reconstruction and advanced cataract surgical care utilizing Femtosecond laser assisted procedures along with advanced technology intraocular lens implants that can correct all ranges of vision.

Dr. Davidian is often asked to share her expertise with other doctors through numerous ophthalmic publications that she has authored and courses she has taught, along with serving as a speaker and consultant for multiple ophthalmic surgical and medical corporations.

She is the founder of the “Dry Eye Center of Excellence” at Highland Ophthalmology, a subspecialty center that offers the latest technologies and treatments for those patients who suffer from severe dry eye disease that is not amenable to conventional treatments.

Dr. Davidian is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners and serves as an Associate Adjunct Professor at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and the New York Medical College. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the New York Intraocular Lens Implant (NYIOL) Society, and the New York State Ophthalmological Society (NYSOS) in which she has served on the Board of Directors.

Dr. Davidian strives to always give her patients the highest level of eye care and the individualized attention that they deserve.
