Julia Mathew, M.D. is a compassionate and highly proficient cornea eye specialist and surgeon. She graduated magna cum laude from Albany Medical College where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society in her junior year. She performed her medical internship at NSLIJ-Lenox Hill Hospital prior to completing her residency in ophthalmology and fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in New York, New York.
Dr. Mathew graduated from Union College in Schenectady, New York summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and sociology. She completed post-graduate studies in Clinical Leadership in Health Management as part of this combined degree program.
Dr. Mathew is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), and the New York State Ophthalmological Society (NYSOS).
